I-BARI OF  THE SEVENTH WING

A creative from the US Virgin Islands, I-Bari brings a refreshing twist to mainstream pop, incorporating caribbean rhythms and dialect, to cultivate an eclectic sound that is a refreshing comparison to that of the mainstream . Also a seasoned writer, with over thirty international song placements, he has worked on tracks for the likes of Destra Garcia, Claudette Peters, Allison Hinds, Tian Winter, and Damian Marvay as a member of the creative collective, "The Seventh Wing." The result of this extensive track record and the dabbling in different genres like soca, reggae, pop and trap is a well curated, multi-genre sound. In 2018, I-Bari independently released his first full length album as an artist, entitled “Nobody Special,” which showcased his versatility with an array of different genres ranging from Pop, R&B, Afrobeat, and Dancehall, to Jazz and Soca crossovers. Featuring singles  like “90 Miles,” which was originally introduced to the public, solely on Soundcloud, in 2016 as a part of “Sliced Bread The EP,” and “Karma” an energetic amalgamation of Pop, Punk Rock, Calypso, and Trap, “Nobody Special” served and still serves as a defining body of work for the artist. In 2018 I-Bari also released one of his most popular songs to date, “Bring It” a happy, mid tempo soca-pop crossover, as a part of the Tropical Zest Riddim, a compilation by CL Productions featuring artist such as K.Rich and Shensea. “Bring It” went on to be featured on the official Notting Hill Carnival Spotify playlist, curated by Bunji Garlin, garnering around 12k streams to date. Since then I-Bari has taken a more targeted approach, focusing on the close relationship between the music of the Caribbean, and that of the motherland Africa with his new ep “Carib-Pop Vol 1.” directing his marketing and connections towards growing a fan base in western countries like Nigeria and Ethiopia and the African/Caribbean diaspora via UK,  is riding off his notoriety with “Bring It,” with a set of “soca-ish” pop crossovers entitled Carib-Pop Vol 1
